Let's talk about the worst articles from the WT for young people (YPA articles and others).

at the moment i don't have the wt cd program up, but when i can bring it up, i'll post some.. .

also, articles which include a paragraph here or there that are directed towards children or teens count as well.. articles that come to mind for me first are all the articles dealing with (gasp) masturbation.

and one poster here recently posted some parts from a young people ask article about dating, which was very funny.

In fact, the best that centuries of church scholars have come up with to criticize the matter was in Genesis when Onan was struck dead for spilling his seed on the ground and not impregnating his dead brother's wife. Even if he masturbated to produce this emission, the issue is providing some offspring, and that was what he was punished for.

The sin though, was having sex with his brother's widow to impregnate her (as he was obligated to do, per the Torah), but then withdrawing before ejaculating ("spilling his seed", a practice which the rappers today refer to as 'skeet shooting': hmmm, I dunno why?). So he was able to enjoy having sex with her, without producing offspring so his dead brother's name could live on (in our goofy ideas about genetics, we actually thought someone's genes could be passed on in this manner.... The things us guys can dream up, and women will believe! Besides, it's not like the God who created mankind was our God YHWH, and He could've given us laws that actually made any real sense!).

So with this background, the WT spins a bunch of guilt around it with absolutely no scripture to support their position. So one could wonder why this is. When you consider it is pretty much a universal practice, then they cunningly know that they can induce guilt in someone doing it, and they can also induce a portion of the "guilty" to confess this sin breach of WT dictates and then have them in a place where they can be manipulated and controlled.

As I mentioned before, the Hebrews considered male emissions as rendering one ritually unclean for a time, as did a women's menstruation. A man having sex with a menstruating women was the WORST of all possible sins, on the par with murder and idolatry. This violation could NOT be atoned by sacrifice, and was considered to bring a curse on the land, not just on the offending couple but to all inhabitants of the Land of Israel.

(interesting that JWs now state that sex during menstruation is a "matter of conscience" for the married couple. Would WTBTS ALSO state that murder and idolatry are "matters of conscience", too? NO? Why not? You downgraded the sin of sex during menstruation, a law YHWH deemed equally important!)

Some secondary damage could come from people who try to avoid this normal outlet to sexual activity, so they marry young and inappropriately, with all the problems that result from this. The Watchtower creates a problem that does not previously exist, and their is no need for it to exist other than making people fearful and subserviant to them.

Yup, purely a control issue. Nothing more, nothing less: an excuse to exercise control over others.

As a public service to any JW kids lurking and struggling with the issue of masturbation, let me offer this helpful guide called:

KING SOLOMON'S GUIDE TO MITIGATING THE SIN OF EMISSIONS

First off, the JW's current anti-masturbation stance is yet another example of the flaw of basing policies on the beliefs of Iron Age men (like me, but never-mind that, for now).

Here's the deal, from Biology 101 (home-schoolers, take notes: this can be counted towards your course-work, and Mom will thank me for handling this subject for her):

Sperm and associated fluid are generated 24/7, and as stated above, the fluid IS going to come out of the male's testicles via his penis, one way or the other, whether he wants it to happen or not.

If he's asleep, the brain will create sexually-erotic imagery in the form of a dream. Consider this as the brain's version of porn (a porn flik where they're the star!), and it's designed to accompany the noctural emission. You might know it by it's name, "wet dream": it's quite normal, just a normal part of male physiology. And last I checked the Torah, physiology isn't a sin (well, no more than a girl having her period is sinful.... Oops, scratch that.... Us ancient Hebrews considered THAT one as impure as male emissions)!

Anyway, if you believe that masturbation is a sin, based on Jesus' words that created the concept of 'virtual-reality sinning' (you know: "whomever looks upon a women with lust has committed adultery 'in his heart') then Houston, we've got a problem! Jesus has just GUARANTEED that sin is 100% for every male, with that new legal definition he just pulled out of his.... eh, sackcloth.

So, even if you buy into Jesus' 'thought-sin' scenario, there's still hope for you. How, you ask?

You can either choose to sin while you're:

a) unconscious (asleep). Problem is, you cannot control the direction of the fantasy while you're asleep (and you just might make things worse for yourself, if you should dream about having sex with Disney heroines, animals, half-Disney/half-animals, tiny women on roller skates, or <gasp!> males)!

b) conscious (awake). This means you CAN control the direction of the fantasy, and prevent yourself from making matters worse for yourself (think of a fleshy disembodied torso and vagina: just NO faces!!!)

So there you go! Pick your poison.... It's all a sin, anyway you do it.

i'm a big science nerd and i remember when we were going over the creator book, that the big bang doesn't necessarily prove there is no god.. i said this comment during book study and the conductor's jaw dropped.

everyone was pretty uncomfortable and it didn't help that he ct me off as i was explaining the red shift and mom wasn't too happy about all that.

i had to do a lot of bible research and write some nonsense about how the big bang was not reality or some sort...ugh.. .

You ARE aware that Adam and Eve WERE vegetarians, right? Even though it's not been publicly announced by the GB, my sources at Bethel say that all meals in the New System™ WILL be vegetarian....

Good thing you won't be there, then, as you'd probably just be whining on about how much you miss cheesesteaks, licking your chops every time you set eyes on a cow, etc.... ;)

Man, I've got to remember to read the fine print BEFORE signing up for things! :)

Flip-side of Azazel's not-so-subtle insinuation that I may be a pedophile trying to cover my tracks is it's just as likely that he's a pro-JW pedophile who's engaging in subversive tactics, trying to serve the WTBTS objective of discrediting JWN by creating the appearance of JWN approving of, and endorsing, illegal hacking activities. That perception WOULD be harmful to JWN's mission, and it's not unreasonable to assume that pro-JWs would do it, just to make ALL apostates appear to be foaming-at-the-mouth law-breaking vigilantes, hell-bent on persecuting JWs.

Those screen-grabs show a willingness to write their own reality, and it would be foolish to conclude they wouldn't resort to such tactics (backed by the treadmark righteous indignation of JWs that we all know and so love) to make us ALL to appear to be law-breaking vigilantes, to any fence-sitting lurkers.

I think that article is more favorable than this thread, and I don't think it crossed any legal boundaries.

Fed law doesn't care about the righteousness of why the hacking happens: you could hack into KKK sites, and they could care less.... Law is the law.

I appreciate the concern about advocating any illegal activity, but I think we should also try to avoid stifling free debate until it becomes meaningless.

You are sadly mistaken if you think your free speech rights (which don't even apply here: this is a privately-owned site) include the right to discuss how to break laws.

You will do as you will (there's no way of convincing anyone who's convinced themselves of the rightness of their actions: a trait that is ironically taught via indoctrination by JWs), but be aware that each count of "conspiracy to engage in computer hacking" (which doesn't even require a successful hacking: just cooperating to attempt) carries a 10 yr sentence in Federal Prison.

Here's the FBI page which announced the bust from Sabu, earlier this year (there's many more such cases pending):

Yeah, tell that to the site owner/admin when they're served by FBI with warrants asking for ISP and other identifying information, so LEOs can compare to whatever data they are currently harvesting via inflitrated Anon chats, as well as information of attacks gleaned from the targets ISP/servers. You clearly are under-estimating the ability and resources of LEOs to crack down on Anon computer hackers.

If you knew anything about what I've revealed here, you'd know I was never even baptized, and left involvement with JWs as a young teen (I have family though who are still in, and have shunned me after they learned of my apostate involvement, eg helping others here).

I know, in your mind there's a VAST CONSPIRACY that includes everyone who possibly would dare disagree with you. Yeah, there's the unmistakeable hallmark of an ex-JW (you can take the person out of the JWs, but you can't take the self-righteous indignation of a JW so easily out of the person).

King Solomon, actually the WTS did do that until 1947. In Africa, the WTS allowed people to be baptized and stay in a polygamous relationship; the men just could not add another wife. But in the US that was not possible because the US government did not allow it. I wondered what happened if a polygamous African brother moved to the US. In some countries it was the custom for parents to pick out marriage mates for their daughters demanding a bride-price. Some jw fathers selected wealthy non-jws or charged such a high price only wealthy jws could afford it. Then there was the Mexico military card versus the Malawi political card.....

All facts that R&F JWs don't know, and worse yet, don't even want to know...

Ah, the seductive power of those who promise possession of truths; the listeners are so desirious to believe, they are willing to overlook the obvious lies to hold onto them.

Reminds me of Homer Simpson's words: "It takes two people to tell a lie: one to lie, and the other to listen."

No, he's admitting to being involved, and having some influence as to suggest targets. That makes HIM as implicated as anyone in Anon.

Y'all need to review principles of criminal conspiracy law: if you are involved in a "conspiracy to commit" crime, you are just as guilty of doing the actual hacking as the guy who does the actual hacking.

For example, in "conspiracy to commit murder", the guy who drove the getaway car for a murder is just as guilty as the guy who pulled the trigger. Both face the same penality: the law treats them ALL the SAME.

The same thing applies to hacking and Anon: the FBI inflitrated Anon at the top-layers last year (taking out a guy named Sabu, who worked as an informant for FBI for months, even using their resources to engage in OPS, with FBI agents watching him 24/7. He cooperated, as he faced 125 yrs for charges he faced if he didn't). FBI and Justice Dep't harvested alot of convictions of those who may not have done anything directly related to the hacking via use of "conspiracy to commit" computer-invasion related charges.

Point is, if you're in by an inch, you are in by a mile: conspiracy laws don't discriminate.

I'm not a lawyer, and this is not legal advice, but you need to realize these types of discussions likely are exposing legal liability for yourself, the site owner(s)/admin(s), etc. since you're discussing breaking the law (and quibbling that you're discussing which sites should NOT be taken down is pointless: it indicates you have control to suggest which SHOULD).

The owners here have rules against such discussions, which shelters them from liability (if they follow their own rules to intervene):

Just sayin', if anyone wants to be stoopid (sic) that's their own business, but you should have some respect for JWN to not do it here, so flagrantly in the open....

It amazes me how the Williams Sisters stand against the flack, i bet they get it.... but only if you drop below the i am strong line to where you are looking vunerable situation, then you become a target to those i am power freeks, i am in control nut jobs that every elder body has....

Exactly the same reason Scientology has a celebrity relations department: it's good PR.

The Williams sisters generate pride amongst R&F (fellow JWs can use them as validation that they're not a cult!), but the difference is if the elders tried to interfere with their athletic careers, they'd drop JWs like a hot potato! It's their business, and there's serious $$$ on the line: they and their family are not fools about what makes the World go 'round.
